If you are going to apply for a mortgage loan, what documents and other requirements do you need? of course, you'll need the residence proof as a start and IDs but specifically, what else?

Hi Autumn,

If this is for a purchase you will need the following:

Last two years W2 forms
4 recent paystubs if paid weekly or the last two if bi-weekly.
The last two months banks statements from accounts that you are using as an asset.  Make sure the bank statements have your name and account number and include all pages even if the last one is blank.
You will also need a homeowner's insurance policy in place prior to closing.
